While there are most likely just a few Windows Phone device owners who also own a Mac, there are enough that Microsoft has released a version of the Windows Phone 7 Connector software for Mac users. This week, Microsoft has released a new version of the software which can be downloaded via Apple's Mac App Store.

While the new version is labeled as 2.02, it's not entirely clear what has been changed in this new build. The change notes are the same as the previous 2.01 release. WPCentral.com speculates that the 2.02 version includes some improvements and fixes for previous connectivity problems that have been an issue with linking a Windows Phone device to a Mac.
Visit the Microsoft Download Center to download the Windows Phone 7 Connector for Mac beta. Click the “Download” button to download the software and install the WP7C_0.6_Beta.dmg by double-clicking it and following the onscreen instructions. Microsoft has released a new version of the Windows 7 Phone Connector software for the Mac. The new 2.02 version is now available to download from the Mac App Store.
Obviously, if you own both a Windows Phone and a Mac, you will need to get this software download. Previous versions of the software have allowed users to transfer ringtones for Windows Phone 7.5 devices, added drag and drop importing of files via Browse Device and more. With the launch of two more Windows Phone devices next week (the Nokia Lumia 900 and the HTC Titan II), there may be a lot more Mac owners who will need to get this additional software support.
